Navratri 2022 2nd day devotees pays homage Ma Durga as Brahmacharini Avatar. Unmarried form of Mata Parvati Known as Brahmacharini who live in forest for her Penance to get Lord Shiva as her Husband.

Her tapasya continued for 3000 years before she married Shiva. Parvati as Brahmacharini took birth in Dakh Prajapati’s house. later She went to forest to continue her penance. She continue her Tapasya in scorching sun or thunder or severe cold conditions and eat only fruits and flowers in the jungle for thousand years. After that she takes only Bilva leaves for her food with water and last thousand years she took only water for her survival. Last she left water also and sleep in the floor but continue her oenance. she turns weak and lost her streangth and beauty also. Then Brahma appeared and blessed her to be married with Lord Shiva.

After her penance she impressed Lord Shiva and agreed to marry her. Daksh Prajapati was do not like Shiva as her daughter’s Husband. Then Mata Brahmacharini wishes to get a father who respect her husband in her next birth. Later as Sati she burnt herself in “Daksha Yajna Kund” and took birth on the Himalaya’s home as daughter of Himalaya and was worshiped as Mata Shailputri.

Mata Brahmacharini appeared in most holy and pure look when she wearing a white sari with “Rudraksh mala” and “comondulu” in her hand. Another hand keeping a lotus flower. It is said lotus in her body is symbolize the knowledge and white sari and Rudraksh symbolized as purity and penance. Mata Brahmacharini governs Mangal dev who is God for all good fortunes. So worship of Mata Brahmacharini will bring good fortunes in home.

Navratri 2022 2nd Day Puja Bidhi

Jasmin flower, sabdal wood, rice offered in a Kalash to Mata Brahamcharini. An Abhishek of Dahi. Milk and Honey also placed on her. A special Bhog of Sugar and Panchamrita is offered to Mata Brahmacharini.

On Navratri 2022 2nd day Dwitia starts from 3.08 am on September 27 and end at 2.28 am on September 28.
